Care Guide

Each Hadithi piece is made by hand using natural materials. With a little care, it will last for many years and age beautifully.

General Care

  • All pieces are handmade, so slight variations are part of their character.

  • Natural fibres may change slightly over time — this is part of how they age.

  • With regular use and care, your piece will remain both functional and beautiful.

Sisal Baskets

Sisal is strong and durable, but it responds to moisture and sunlight.

  • Keep baskets dry. Prolonged dampness can lead to mould.

  • If a basket gets wet, dry it fully in the sun before storing.

  • Avoid storing in humid or enclosed spaces.

  • To reshape, lightly mist with water and adjust by hand, then dry in the sun.

  • Over time, natural fading may occur if left in direct sunlight for long periods.

Palm Baskets

Palm fibre is softer and more flexible than sisal.

  • Keep away from excess moisture to prevent weakening or mould.

  • Store in a dry, ventilated space.

  • If needed, wipe gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

  • Avoid heavy loads that may distort the shape.

Beaded Magnets & Keychains (with Leather)

These pieces combine beadwork with natural leather.

  • Keep leather away from water. If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally (not in direct heat).

  • Over time, leather will soften and develop a natural patina.

  • To maintain suppleness, you can apply a small amount of leather conditioner occasionally.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can dry or fade the leather.

Sisal Bags with Leather Details

These combine woven sisal with leather handles or trims.

  • Keep the bag dry, especially the leather parts.

  • If wet, air dry fully before use or storage.

  • Do not overload — this helps maintain shape and handle strength.

  • Store in a cool, dry place.

  • Leather handles can be conditioned occasionally to prevent drying or cracking.
